Auf der Strecke von Flåm nach Voss liegt ca. 14km vor Voss der Tvindefossen. Er ist nicht so gewaltig wie andere Wasserfälle, aber er ist so malerisch, dass er für mich einer der schönsten Wasserfälle ist.
In Voss we go to a campsite on Vangsvatnet (lake). The staff (like everyone else so far) is very nice. The campsite is small and we are allocated a space. Some of the pitches here are tiny and we can't even set up our awning. But otherwise everything is ok and we get out the chairs to enjoy the sun.
After a coffee and a couple of cookies we want to explore the area. First the path leads us along the lake, then through a forest.
After a short walk we arrive in Voss. There is a single dark cloud overhead and it is starting to rain. We hide and wait. All around is blue sky, only this one cloud does not want to disappear.
At some point the rain subsides and we still have a look at the Vangs Church, which was consecrated in 1277. Its walls are over 2m thick in some places.
Uns fällt ein, dass wir unsere Campingstühle draußen haben stehen lassen. Klasse! Jetzt aber nichts wie zurück.
Unterwegs beginnt es wieder zu regnen und wir kommen durchnässt am Campingplatz an. Wir sind ohne Regenjacken und Schirm losmarschiert, da die Sonne wunderbar schien. Das passiert uns nicht noch einmal!
Wir wollten heute grillen. Da es regnet nutzen wir den netten Grillplatz direkt hinter unserem Wohnmobil.
Bergen

Die Sonne scheint und wir fahren nach Bergen.
Uns wurde davon abgeraten, mit dem Wohnmobil nach Bergen zu fahren, da es schwierig ist, einen Parkplatz zu finden.
Wir sind aber zuversichtlich. Nach einer Stunde Umherirren in Bergen lässt unsere Zuversicht nach und wir geben auf. Reinhard war schon einmal hier und ich habe jetzt keine Lust mehr, noch länger zu suchen. Wir brechen ab und fahren weiter bis Kinsarvik.
Das war ein "kleiner" Umweg von 200km.
Ich möchte an dieser Stelle trotzdem die Sehenswürdigkeiten von Bergen beschreiben.
Zunächst ist da natürlich Bryggen. Die Kontore der Hanse-Kaufleute.

Historical houses on the mountainside with narrow streets and the fish market are further sights.
Also the Bergenhus Fortress, the oldest parts of which date from the 12th century.
If you want, you can take the Fløibanen up the 320m high mountain. From there you have a beautiful view and many hiking opportunities.
