Wir haben uns für die Fahrzeugverschiffung für Seabridge entschieden. Die Unterlagen haben wir bereits erhalten. Alles ist genauestes und ausführlich beschrieben. Vor allem die Anreise zum Hamburger Hafen und die Abwicklung in Halifax.

Alles ging per Mail vonstatten und Antworten kamen immer zeitnah.

Am 07. Juni 2018 war es soweit. Wir fuhren zunächst bis Bremen, um dort unseren Sohn, der uns besucht hatte, abzusetzen. Von dort ging es weiter nach Hamburg. Den Stellplatz kannten wir schon von unserer Herbstreise 2017. Er liegt nicht weit vom Hafen entfernt. (Grüner Deich 8, Einfahrt über Süderstraße GPS 53°32'35.8"N 10°01'32.7"E)

Am nächsten Morgen fuhren wir zum Hafen. Da ich unserem Navi nicht bedingungslos traue, legten wir noch eine Extrarunde durch die Hafencity ein. (Meistens habe ich ja Recht, aber in diesem Fall hätte ich besser auf das Navi gehört). Im 2. Anlauf klappte es dann und wir steuerten den Parkplatz der Reederei an.

Alles ging schnell und einfach vonstatten. Nach noch nicht einmal 30 Minuten waren wir bereits auf dem Weg zur S-Bahn und um 10.15 Uhr am Hamburger Hauptbahnhof. Unser Zug war erst für 12.45 Uhr eingeplant. Also in aller Ruhe erst einmal ein Frühstück einnehmen und ein bisschen durch Hamburg bummeln. Eine schöne Stelle zum Verweilen fanden wir in Form einer Parkbank an der Außenalster.

Die Abwicklung geht einfach und zügig. Herr Lau und ein Mitarbeiter sind immer mit vor Ort.

We take again with the Enlace Caribe Agency Contact on. The next ships will sail to Bremerhaven on April 7, 2019 and May 10, 2019. In between there are ships to Zeebrugge.

We decide on the ship on April 7th, 2019, which will then leave 2 days earlier. It is scheduled to arrive in Bremerhaven on April 27, 2019.

April 4th, 2019 - Another trip to the port for drug control

The shipping company requires an agent in Germany. Enlace Caribe can give us the name of an agent in Hamburg who will get the relevant documents. We get in touch with him at home and he forwards the documents to a branch in Bremerhaven.

We learn from the agency that our mobile home in Panama has been transferred to another ship. The "Salome" from the shipping company Wallenius Wilhelmsen Lines, Bremerhaven and is now due to arrive in Bremerhaven on 9.5.2019. Our motorhome sets out on the journey and, according to the tracking app, visits Washington and New York without us.

With the tracking app, we can also see that the ship will dock in Bremerhaven on May 5th, 2019. On Mondays the agency is asked and they confirm this. We can pick up the car.

On Wednesdays we take the train to Bremerhaven. All necessary documents have already been prepared in the agency. We are brought to the port up to the office responsible. The process there only takes a few minutes, then we can wait outside. Shortly afterwards a man from customs comes and drives us to the motorhome. The handover also only takes a few minutes.

The motorhome is undamaged and complete.

When we want to leave the customs area, we pass a control. The customs officer says that we have exported the vehicle from the EU and now have to re-import it. You can give us further information in the adjacent office.

The lady there confirms: We have to submit a customs application. But it is only available in another building in the port.

We can't believe it - the vehicle is registered in Germany and we pay taxes and insurance for it! Reinhard calls the agency and Mr. Jachens comes to us. In the meantime the lady has thought about the matter again and lets us leave the port area without any further formalities. ???
