Bernkastel-Kues - Herbst 2013

Of the campsite is open, but the office is not manned. Unfortunately the restaurant is also closed. It's a shame, I don't feel like cooking anymore.

We look for a place and I examine my feet. As expected, I have a big blister on each foot at the level of the sock seam.

I conjure up a quick meal, which means that I heat a can of soup. :-) I am not able to do more. We are done, but also satisfied that we mastered the route. The hike through nature was beautiful and we didn't meet anyone on the whole route - except in the two places.

At 9:15 p.m. we are already in bed and sleep soundly.

After we reported to the office in the morning and paid, we drive to a parking lot on the Moselle.

(Parking lot Nikolausufer 49.911711, 7.068119 - the only parking lot for mobile homes - only during the day. However, we also see mobile homes on the other side of the Moselle directly to the right and left of the bridge.)

From there we walk a bit along the bank and then cross the bridge that leads to the old town.

It is also possible to walk or ride a bike from the campsite, but we want to continue riding afterwards anyway.

Auf dem Weg zum Markt finden wir ein Sportgeschäft. Hier erstehen wir jeder 1 Paar Sportsocken. (Die teuersten Socken meines Lebens).

Und schon stehen wir auf dem Markt mit seinen bezaubernden Fachwerkhäusern - eines schöner, als das andere!

Das 1608 erbaute Rathaus, davor der Marktbrunnen mit der Statue des Erzengels Michael. Dazwischen die schmale Gasse Karlstraße, wo das 1416 erbaute Spitzhäuschen steht.
