Leer - autumn 2017
The weather is constantly changing. Today the weather is uncomfortable again. But at least - it's not raining.
Shower, fill up the water, empty the toilet, then it goes on.
We drive to Leer and aim at the Nessestrasse motorhome parking lot. It is well signposted until we are in front of it. There the sign is covered and no parking space can be seen far and wide. It doesn't matter, there is a second parking space in the large Bleiche parking lot. There we have to find out that a fair is currently being set up and the parking lot is therefore closed.
A little pissed off, we look for a parking space in a side street and set off to see the city. The museum harbor is in the immediate vicinity, so let's go there.
Wir schlagen den Weg Richtung Altstadt ein und treffen zuerst auf das Rathaus, erbaut 1894.
Nearby is the Samson house, built in 1643. It is said to be the most beautiful house in Leer.
Wir gehen zum Bünting-Haus, das jedem sofort ins Auge fällt, und vor dem man mit einer Tasse Tee begrüßt wird ;-)
There is more to see in Leer, but since we don't have a parking space, we have to slowly get on our way. We go back along the water and take a few more impressions with us.
