Our next destination should be Odda. There we wanted to go to the Buerbreen glacier. The way there should be easy to walk at first, but then increasingly difficult. Inclusive climbing.

But climb again today or tomorrow? I don't think that's my primary goal now.

So we continue to Låtefossen, the twin waterfall, which is conveniently located directly on the Rv13. There is a parking lot opposite the waterfall.

Am Kiosk nehmen wir einen kleinen Imbiss in Form eines Hot-Dogs zu uns. Ich frage die Dame, wo es denn heute (Samstag) eine Einkaufsmöglichkeit gibt. Möglichst Richtung Stavanger. Sie erklärt, dass die Supermärkte in dieser Gegend schon geschlossen sind. (Führt sogar noch ein Telefonat, um sich zu vergewissern). Der nächste noch offene Supermarkt liegt 1 Stunde Fahrt von hier entfernt. Es ist jetzt 16.30 Uhr und um 18.00 Uhr schließt auch der. Also nichts wie los.

Am Langfoss, der an der E13 liegt, halten wir noch einmal kurz an. Er ist 612m hoch und damit der fünft-höchste Wasserfall Norwegens. (Auch hier gibt es eine Parkmöglichkeit).

We drive on quickly and arrive at the supermarket in Etne at 5.30 p.m. So we can still shop in peace. The next campsite is only a few meters away and we decide to spend the night there.

It was very cloudy all day today, but it only rained in the morning.

It's raining cats and dogs. This means that our next destination, the Preikestolen, has been abandoned. So Stavanger is on the agenda today, in the rain if necessary.

On the way we pass a place where oil rigs are being built.

I hold the card under the nose of a law enforcement officer who must have just handed out tickets and ask him where we are. He shows us and then asks if we want to stay in Stavanger longer.

When I reply that we are only here today and want to look around a little, he lists the sights. In addition, all the background information and explains us how to get there. That's service! It was probably a welcome change for him. :-)

First we visit the Stavanger Cathedral. It was built between 1100 and 1125 and is the oldest cathedral in Norway.
