The journey continues into
Anza Borrego dessert
At first the area looks like a lunar landscape
San Diego
Zuerst möchten wir an den Strand.
We sit down in the sand and enjoy the pleasant temperatures. Reinhard watches pelicans doing their flying and fishing skills.
in the Heritage Park
there are 6 Victorian houses from the 1880s - one more charming than the other.
Unter anderem eine Synagoge
At the Maritime Museum
we find a parking lot and look at the ships there (from the outside).
The HMS Surprise that starred in the movie Master and Commander.
The Star of India, a 19th century tea clipper
A Russian submarine
The aircraft carrier is a little further Midway.
A picture that went around the world
The fishing port and the bridge leading to the Coronado Peninsula

We stroll through the city
and achieve Horton Plaza.
Die Häuser der Mall bestechen durch ihre Fassaden
House in the house ...
The airport is so close to the city that the landings look spectacular.
To stay overnight we drive to a parking lot, which should cost $ 10 for 24 hours. We're unlucky, an event is taking place and the space costs 100% more. For this the security knocks friendly (and curious). We can stay here - no problem.
21st week
Despite the noise around us (the parking lot is on the railroad lines) we slept relatively well. The last thing we want to do is in San Diego on the Península Coronado
the Hotel Del Coronado
look at. It became famous through the film "Some Like It Hot" with Marilyn Monroe.
On the beach we discover a work of art that was built for Veteran's Day.
There is still a lot to be done. We buy one more coffee because we don't know what coffee to expect in Mexico. We are also going to an AT&T shop to top up our account a little so that we can have internet in Mexico for at least the next few weeks. The shop is full and the young employee has her hands full. So it takes a while to get out again. Now it can go on with
Mexico
