Aftermath
Car pass
Back at home, we register for the car pass afterwards. This is possible retrospectively for up to 14 days. Pay 1000 NOK 1 NOK (€ 130 € 0.13) by credit card. Billing will only take place in autumn. We either have to pay extra if the 130 € should not be enough or we will get the rest of it reimbursed. (The 1 NOK is a processing fee.)
In due course I will add the price here.
2017 - We never heard of it again. We should have got the money back, but that didn't happen. However, we let it go because we didn't pay the ticket.
Traffic ticket
We have lodged an objection to the parking ticket by email. There was a reply email that the processing would take 3 weeks.
After 3-4 weeks we received a long email in which the objection was rejected. We could lodge a complaint with the Norwegian Complaints Authority, but this costs a processing fee.
On October 11th, 2012 we received a payment request from the parking lot operator, but from London. This was written in German. The fees had now risen to € 156. I didn't respond to it. On October 28th, 2012 we received a "last request for payment" also from London. Now it was € 184.53. On November 14th, 2012 I sent a registered letter in which I again contradicted and again pointed out the strange machinations.
June 2nd, 2013 - we haven't heard from them until today. I hope it stays that way ...
October 2013 - Another request for payment from a debt collection agency, London. Postmarked in Malmo, Sweden. I ignored the letter. Never heard of it again.
Accident on the ferry
We had our motorhome repaired and submitted the invoice with photos of the accident to DFDS. The bill was paid without any problems.
