Grønninghoved + Hirthals /Dänemark

Fahrt bis Grønninghoved /Dänemark

634 km

We give final instructions at home (which will probably go in one ear and out the other), then we finally start!

Again we reach Hamburg quickly to be stuck in traffic. Then it goes over the Danish border without further traffic jams.

On the drive through Denmark I see poppy fields for the first time. It looks nice but are they allowed to do that? :-)

After almost 9 hours it is enough for today and we drive to the next campsite. We can choose one of the motorhome parking spaces.

After a short stroll on the Baltic Sea beach we are hungry and I turn on our stove. That is, I try, but it goes off again immediately. It's not that bad, we still have a small gas grill that can also be used as a stove. But he also refuses. So Reinhard has to go and check the stove. After "blowing through" the line, the stove willingly gives way and we can finally cook.

After dinner, Reinhard starts the gas cooker again.

Fahrt bis Hirtshals / Dänemark

294 km

We arrive at the campsite in Hirtshals around noon. German is even spoken at the reception. We are assigned a place with a view of the sea. The place is in the far corner, so we only have one neighbor.

Somehow we still have to kill the rest of the day and look around the campsite to see if there are any off-road vehicles to be seen. But we only come across a French motorhome that is suitable for the slopes.

The weather is not particularly nice, but we decide to visit the site anyway.
Well, there isn't much to see in the place, but we come back pretty drenched. A taste of Iceland?

Now our backpacks have to be packed for the ferry. If only it finally started ...

In the evening, an Austrian joins us on our pitch. But since he doesn't bother us any further, we let him go. Do we now only have to pay half the price? :-)
